Sony’s latest smartphone launch, the Xperia Z1, has now gotten its first firmware update in India, titled build number 14.1.G.1.531, according to
Xperiablog. The update does not come with noticeable improvements or additions to the software, instead providing only regular bug or performance updates, according to the source.
The firmware update in question is reportedly being rolling out to HSPA+ devices with model number C6902. There is no official word yet about the firmware update hitting other parts of the world, but it is expected that the roll out will begin soon. The Xperia Z1 was launched by the company
at IFA, Berlin, earlier in the month and was
recently launched in India with a price tag of Rs 44,990. You can look at the

A quick recap reveals that the smartphone comes with a 5-inch full-HD Triluminos display with the company’s Mobile Bravia Engine 2 packed in. Internally the smartphone comes with a 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC with 2GB of RAM packed in. The smartphone will come with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean running the show. It comes with 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. The smartphone, like most of Sony’s recent smartphone additions, is water and dust proof.
The USP of the smartphone that has generated the most amount of buzz is the 20.7-megapixel Exmor RS sensor alongside BIONZ image processor engine and pulsed LED flash. Also added to the package is a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Rounding up the package is a 3,000mAh battery.
The Japanese electronic giant recently rolled out an update for its Xperia Z, ZL and ZR smartphones, which was said to bring better low-light image capabilities and a smoother UI.
